Each listing includes photographs, descriptions, condition information, pricing, and any known accessories or additional details. New items are added regularly as the collection is organized and photographed.

2. Ask Questions
If you'd like additional information about an item, click Ask About This Item on the item's page.
Questions are always welcome. We'll do our best to answer promptly and can often provide additional photographs or information if needed.
Submitting an inquiry does not reserve an item.
3. Schedule a Visit
Most items are available for local inspection and pickup by appointment in Brookings, Oregon.
Appointments allow us to have the item ready for viewing while ensuring someone is available to assist you.
The exact pickup location will be provided after an appointment has been arranged.
4. Purchase an Item
If you decide you'd like to purchase an item, simply let us know.
Items are generally sold to the first buyer who confirms the purchase and completes payment.
If another buyer has already committed to purchasing an item, it may be marked Pending while arrangements are finalized.
5. Payment
Payment is required before an item is released or shipped.
We currently accept:
- Cash
- PayPal
- Venmo
Additional payment options may be available by prior arrangement.
For the protection of both buyer and seller, ownership transfers once payment has been received.
6. Pickup
Most items are intended for local pickup.
Please bring an appropriate vehicle, trailer, moving blankets, straps, and any assistance needed to safely load larger items.
While we're happy to provide reasonable assistance when possible, buyers are ultimately responsible for loading and transporting their purchases.
7. Shipping
Many smaller items can be shipped.
Shipping is available only after full payment has been received.
Buyers are responsible for all shipping, insurance, and packaging costs.
Larger shop equipment, machinery, and oversized items are generally available for local pickup only.
If you're unsure whether an item can be shipped, please contact us before purchasing.
8. Item Condition
Most items offered through The Brookings Collection are previously owned.
We make every effort to describe each item accurately and include photographs showing its condition.
Unless otherwise stated, all items are sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee.
Pending Items
When a buyer commits to purchasing an item, it may be marked Pending while payment and pickup or shipping arrangements are completed.
Pending items are temporarily unavailable to other buyers. If those arrangements cannot be completed within a reasonable period, the item may become available again and be offered to other interested buyers.
You're welcome to inquire about a Pending item. If the current purchase isn't completed, we'll contact interested buyers in the order their inquiries were received.

Can you hold an item?
Generally, no. To be fair to everyone interested in the collection, items are sold to the first buyer who confirms the purchase and completes payment.
Can I inspect an item before purchasing?
Absolutely. Whenever practical, you're welcome to inspect an item during your scheduled appointment.
Will additional items be added?
Yes. The collection is extensive, and new items will continue to appear on the website as they are photographed and cataloged.
Can I make an offer?
Reasonable offers may be considered, particularly on items that have been listed for an extended period or when purchasing multiple items.
Can someone else pick up my purchase?
Yes. If someone will be picking up an item on your behalf, let us know in advance so we know who to expect.
Will you help load heavy items?
We'll gladly provide reasonable assistance when possible, but buyers should plan to bring adequate help and an appropriate vehicle for loading large or heavy items safely.
